Neck pain (cervicalgia) affects the cervical spine, the areas in and around your spine, beneath the skull. The pain can radiate into your arms and hands, causing carpal tunnel syndrome. It can also radiate into your head, leading to migraines, headaches, and occipital neuralgia. Common causes include muscle tension, myofascial pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, herniated disks, pinched nerves, spinal stenosis, trauma, poor posture, mental stress and other health conditions.
