Our approach
Care That Is Targeted, Welcoming, and Built Around the Individual Patient
Messina Acupuncture PC was built around a simple belief: pain relief should never feel rushed, generic, or disconnected from the way a patient actually lives. Every person arrives with a different history, a different movement pattern, and a different goal.
Some patients want to get back to exercise. Some want to sit at work without neck pain. Some want relief from headaches, jaw tension, or a back flareup that keeps returning. The visit starts by understanding that picture before choosing the treatment tools.
The result is care that feels specific, practical, and personal. We look at what hurts, how it behaves, what has already been tried, and what needs to change for the patient to feel confident again.
The patient experience is part of the care
Patients consistently mention the welcoming atmosphere, the professionalism of the team, and the feeling that they are truly being listened to. That matters because good care should help people feel clear, supported, and confident from the beginning.
Meet the founder
Daniel Messina, MSOM, L.Ac., Dipl. NCCAOM
Daniel Messina is the founder of Messina Acupuncture PC and a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist. His work is centered on orthopedic and musculoskeletal care, with a focus on helping patients reduce pain, improve function, and move with more confidence.
Patients commonly seek Daniel’s care for back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, TMJ concerns, joint pain, recovery needs, and long-standing tension patterns that interfere with daily life.
His treatment style combines the precision of acupuncture and Chinese medicine with a practical orthopedic mindset. That means the plan is based on both the person and the pattern, not just the symptom name.
Why patients choose us
A Practical Treatment Style for Real-Life Pain
Many patients come to Messina Acupuncture PC because they want more than a relaxing appointment. They want to understand what is contributing to their pain and what can be done about it.
We start with the pattern
We look at where the pain is, what triggers it, how movement changes it, and whether the issue appears muscular, joint-related, nerve-sensitive, tension-driven, or recovery-related.
We choose the tool for the case
Acupuncture may be the right fit for one patient, while another may need dry needling, medical massage, cupping, electroacupuncture, acupressure, or a layered plan.
We explain the plan
Patients should understand what we are treating, why a service is being recommended, what response we are looking for, and when the plan may need to change.
Care that adapts to the patient
Different Pain Patterns Need Different Tools
The office supports patients through needle-based care, manual therapy, soft-tissue work, pressure-point therapy, and focused recovery support.
